THE CREW ON BOARD
There were 212 men on board on March 27, 1980 when the disaster struck. Within about 20 minutes, the platform capsized and over 200 children lost their fathers. 123 men lost their lives in Norway's largest industrial accident, of which 87 were found and 36 remained missing. 89 men miraculously survived in high seas and storms.
